Rugby League 9s to kick off Competitions at National Stadium

Rugby League 9 will be the first sports competition to be played at the Pacific Games 2023 (PG23) National Stadium.

This is according to the recently released Pacific Games 2023 (Sol2023) Sports Schedule.

The sport, also called nines, will kick off competitions on Monday 20th November – a day after the grand opening of the 17th Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

The three-day competition concludes Wednesday 22nd November

Apart from the Official Opening and Closing Ceremonies, three other sports competitions will be staged at this Games Venue. They include; Rugby 7s, Athletics, and Football.

Meanwhile, the Sports Schedule also sees five sports commencing prior to the Opening Ceremony on November 19th. They include; Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. All these competitions kick off on 17th November.
