As of this week, the Games Organizing Committee (GOC) has activated its wind-down and closing programs after successfully hosting the two-week historic sporting event in the country.

The winding-down process involves packing all equipment at the game’s venues, retrieving and reconciling assets in all functional areas (FA’s), and other official closings for the entire work force group.

There is a hardcat asset management software that the National Hosting Authority (NHA) put in place and employed by GOC in the retrieval process.

All this asset will be stored, awaiting further advice from the NHA and the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (OPMC).

Also scheduled for this week are “thank you and farewell” functions hosted for the workforce, which includes all volunteers and GOC staff appreciating their invaluable contribution in making the games a success, and also marking their released Christmas holiday with family. There will be remarks from officials, the presentation of certificates, and feasting.
