GOC thanks Games Sponsors
Official Sponsors of the Sol2023 Pacific Games were this week presented medals in recognition of their support towards the successful Games delivery this year.
The 14 Games Sponsors include; Our Telekom, Solomon Airlines, South Pacific Oil Limited, Solomon Islands Ports Authority, Solomon Post, Solomon Water, Fexco Solomon Islands Limited, Solomon Breweries Limited, Soltuna Company Limited, Bank of South Pacific, GEMS.pro, RICOH, Pink South Pacific and Unilever.
The Games Organising Committee (GOC) organised a special lunch event for all sponsors in which the medals were presented.
Handing out the medals, Games CEO, Peter Stewart commended the sponsors for their contribution and unwavering support which enabled Solomon Islands to deliver the biggest Pacific Games in history.
“Without your (Sponsors) support, we wouldn’t be able to successfully deliver the Pacific Games this year.”
Sol2023 was also the first Pacific Games event to set up a sponsorship activation area for Games sponsors.
“This is the first Pacific Games that we have had an activation area dedicated to our sponsors. Happy to say that it was also a success during the two weeks of the Games, even the Games Merchandise shop inside the stadium was a success. This success was only achieved through all of us working together,” he said.
Meanwhile the Games CEO called on Solomon Islands to also recognize the massive support sponsors have bestowed towards Sol2023.
“Solomon Islands citizens should and need to be proud of your sponsors contribution towards this historical event, as it marks a permanent achievement in Solomon Islands history,” Mr Stewart said.
