Media Accreditation close September 15

Applications for Media Accreditations for the Sol2023 Pacific Games will close 15th September, 2023.

The Games Organizing Committee’s (GOC) Press & Media Operations Coordinator, Calvin Darcy confirmed this.

Since applications opened up May this year, a total of 148 media personnel from throughout the region and around the globe have since submitted their applications but as freelancers or part of various media organisations.

Calvin said that only this week remains for media wishing to apply for accreditation.

“I urge all media personnel and organisations who have yet to apply or submit their applications for accreditation to please do so before 4:00pm, Friday 15th September.

“Please be advised that the GOC shall have the sole rights for approving and issuing accreditation after vetting is done by the 24 participating PGA (Pacific Games Association),” Calvin said.

He added, “Only verified media shall be approved and have access to Games Venues. All accredited media will be required to adhere to the media rules and GOC policies which shall be made available when accreditation is issued.”

Meanwhile successful applicants will receive an official confirmation from the GOC and further information on the process and timing of collecting media accreditation cards.
