The Sol2023 Pacific Games Ambassadors tour today head off to Temotu province, in the eastern part of Solomon Islands today.
Part of the Games Organizing Committee’s (GOC)’s Community Engagement Program and accompanied by local Athletics Icon and Games Ambassador Chris Votu, the 10-day-tour will cover a total 10 communities throughout Santa Cruz and Reef Islands.
“This will be my first tour in the program and I am overly excited to visit and share my experiences with our people throughout Temotu province.
“I do hope that the stories and experiences I share with our people there will inspire many to be involved in sports – better yet develop an interest in athletics, the sport that I love,” Votu said.
The team is expected back in Honiara upon completing the tour on the 21st of this month.
Meanwhile the Ambassadors tour has also recently completed Isabel province.
