In Friday’s Sol2023 Pacific Games men’s beach volleyball semi-finals, Australia and Solomon Islands will both be hoping for wins to secure their place in Saturday’s gold medal match at SIFF Academy.

The two were the only nations to have both their men’s and women’s teams progress to the semi-finals at SIFF Academy.

The men’s semi-finals take place at 3pm on Friday.

Tuvalu will take on Solomon Islands, whilst world #13 ranked Australia take on Northern Mariana Islands (NMI), who have also enjoyed a clean winning streak in the pool matches.

“The next game will be against Australia. They have big players so we just have to play aggressively, play smart, do our homework knowing their strengths and weakness and train to win.

“Training is the deciding factor for us. We are confident, we will be ready for the semis,” NMI captain Andrew Johnson said.
