Solomon Telekom Company Limited is the latest Solomon Islands’ company to team up with the Sol2023 Pacific Games as an official sponsor.
The country’s leading telecommunication company trading as ‘Our Telekom’ was today officially announced a Presenting Partner Sponsor of this year’s Pacific Games.
The $10.7 million dollars (SBD) worth sponsorship will see Solomon Telekom Company Limited provide infrastructural services and network services across Games venues and villages. In return Solomon Telekom Company Limited will have the access to exploit benefits allocated under the Games Presenting Sponsor Level.
The sponsorship agreement also gives exclusive rights to Solomon Telekom Company Limited as the Official Sponsor of the Sol2023 Pacific Games Official Opening Ceremony.
Making the official announcement, Solomon Telekom Company Limited Chief Executive Officer, Christina Lasaqa said our Telekom is so thrilled to be the official Partner for the sol2023 Pacific Games,

Sharing similar sentiments, Solomon Telekom Company Limited Board Chairman, Bauro Laxton Koraua opens his remarks with ” it is a great day for Our Telekom.”
He has expressed his acknowledgment to GOC to choose Our Telekom to be in partnership for the Sol2023 Games.

the 10.7 Million for infrastructure by Our Telekom is not only for the games but it will become an investment for all future use of the venues. it also allows all users of 3G to access the games in real time.”
Speaking on the significance of the sponsorship, Board Chairman of the Games Organizing Committee, Martin Rara said,

The sponsorship announcement event was topped off with a float parade, led by Solo the Official Games Mascot, from Solomon Telekom Company Limited’s Ranadi office to its Point Cruz Office.
Meanwhile, Solomon Telekom Company Limited is the Games sixth official sponsor, with the others being; Solomon Breweries, Solomon Post, Solomon Water, No1Currency and Solomon Airlines.
