Solo, ready to tour Malaita

Solo, the 2023 Pacific Games Mascot resumes its nationwide tour this week.
Having visited in total seven provinces including Honiara throughout last year (2022), Solo will again be on the move this year – this time visiting Malaita province.

Solo will be making two tours to Malaita. Its first tour will cover West Are’Are, East Are’Are and Small Malaita.The 15-day-tour will start on the 19th of January and finish off on the 2nd of February.

This tour will see Solo visit 26 communities and villages in these three regions of the province.
They include; Hauhui, Kiu, Waisisi, Aiarai, Pipisu, Uhu, Afio, Riverside, Sarawasi (Elliote School), Tarapaina Parish, Hunanaowa, Hautahe, Potaniu, Nauraua, Rara, Masupa, Hanoa, Raeao, Manawai, Tawaro (Walande), Ro’one, Roapu, Sa’a, Weihi, Liwe and Rokera.

The Solo Mascot Nationwide tour is part of the 2023 Pacific Games Community Engagement program aimed at providing awareness on the Sol2023 Pacific Games and advocating against the slaughter of all turtle species in Solomon Islands and throughout the Pacific.
